    Hi everyone,

I’m using Pytes batteries with a Victron MultiPlus, and I’ve noticed something I’d like clarification on.

Pytes’ documentation recommends using 56.8 V absorption, and my MultiPlus is correctly set to 56.8 V. However, the Pytes BMS is repeatedly sending a CVL (Charge Voltage Limit) of only 56.2 V to the Victron system, along with a very low CCL (Charge Current Limit) when the pack gets near full.

Because the BMS CVL is lower than the MultiPlus absorption voltage, the charger drops to 0 A, and the battery stops charging before the cells can finish top balancing.

As a result, I’m seeing a persistent ~30 mV cell voltage spread, and the pack never reaches “100%.”

    My questions:

    1. Is it normal for the Pytes BMS to clamp CVL down to 56.2 V during top-of-charge?
    2. Under what conditions does the BMS lower CVL from the recommended 56.8 V?
(e.g., high cell > 3.50 V, balancing active, internal thresholds?)
    3. Should the BMS eventually raise CVL back to 56.8 V once balancing is complete?
    4. Is there a recommended procedure to allow proper top balancing when the BMS is holding CVL below the Victron absorption voltage?

Any insight from Pytes support or anyone who has seen this behavior would be appreciated. I just want to confirm whether this is expected protection logic or something that needs adjusting. The batteries have been on charge now for 48 hours with no loud and still at 98%.

Lowest cell at 3.476 and highest at 3.506.

    Thanks!
