  • Strange Battery Bank discharge behaviour

    Dear all,

I have a battery bank consisting of six Pytes E-Box 48100R (B model) these batteries where purchased together, installed and became operational at the same time. They are connected via an open-loop connection to an MPP Solar inverter model LV5048.

The inverter parameters are configured as follow:

    · Bulk/Absorb = 56.8V

    · Float = 56.0V

    · Absorb Time = < 15 minutes

    · Equalization = DISABLED

Now am experiencing the following weird behavior: One of the 6 batteries during discharge from 100-45% is being drained (SOC drops slower) at a much slower rate than the remaining 5 batteries. After 45% SOC this battery suddenly start being discharged at a much higher rate (SOC drops faster) than the other 5 batteries. This is illustrated in below

    – Beginning of Discharge (Cycle SOC 100- 50%)

    -End of Discharge Cycle (<50%):

If I remove the affected battery from the battery bank and charge it separate l see that its SOC jumps from approx. 70% straight to 100 % while the SOC of the other batteries jump from 90% to 100%

    Notes:

    1. -All the batteries are running the same firmware which is version SPBMS16SRPV1.3.35.C16 (2025-04-24).

    2. There are no errors or warnings

Any idea what could be causing this affected battery to behave like that and have a negative impact on the entire battery bank? how can I have it resolved?

Attached I am sending some collected information from the Batteries. For each battery I have collected the output of the following commands:

      -info

      -pwr

      -bat

      -datalist event 0

      -datalist history 0

Note: the battery with the issue is battery 5
